The purpose of the bearing housing for cement plant is to position the insert bearing and simultaneously support loads transferred from the shaft through the bearing. The housings have a flat mounting surface, which simplify the installation of the unit. In pillow blocks the mounting surface is parallel to the axis of the shaft and the flat surface is a straight foot support at the base of the housing.
